Texas Grounds for Divorce
In Texas, A divorce may be granted using either "Fault" or "No-Fault" grounds.

Fault grounds include:

adultery
abandonment
cruel and inhuman treatment
conviction of a felony and imprisonment for over 1 year
confinement for incurable insanity for three years
lived apart without co-habitation for at least 3 years

The fault grounds in a divorce can affect property division as well as child custody and visitation.

Annulment
In an annulment, the court says that there never was a marriage. Annulments are difficult to obtain, and for this reason you should speak to an attorney as well as your priest, minister, or rabbi.
